I thought I'd start you all out with a nice video before diving in.

So, I did end up finishing Little Miss Can't Be Wrong's gloves. She appears satisfied, but I haven't really gotten to see them on her. Maybe once. I really don't care if they are worn, it would just be nice, y'know? They are green( her favorite) and the pattern I used needed to be altered a wee bit as my sister has hands the sizes of an infant (and I would know!) To make them not so bland looking, I added some shamrocks to her hands as she loves all things Irish and I thought it would be a nice flare. I don't currently have any photos of my wonderful masterpiece, maybe I can get LMCBW to be my hand model sometime.
I'm currently working on a hat for my wonderful Aunt Mel up in the jingly pig.
It's a hat a made awhile ago for myself and she fell in love with it, so I agreed to make her one if she bought the yarn. I will keep you all updated on it's progress. She can't have wool of any kind, so I'm getting the chance to knit with 100% cotton yarn, which I'm both excited and nervous about. I don't want to do all this work, then wash it and have the entire hat shrink up on me. We shall see though, right? It's all part of the adventures in knitting, so I can't complain. I've been working on it today, so it's a bit farther along
than what you see here.elf that she loved, so I agreed to make it for her! It too is green, but a far more eye popping green.
Speaking of adventures in knitting, my wonderful friend, Psycheknits, has come up with conquer her stash, THE BEAST. After reading through her post, I came to the conclusion that this is an absolutely wonderful idea! My Stash is in great need of trimming back. SO BRING IT! I will not buy anymore yarn until the majority of the 3 bags and 2 boxes are completely gone!
This same brilliant friend made me a beautiful cowl-y thing for Christmas, but it came with a requirement: I had to get rid of my treasured green cowl.
Let me tell you the story of this cowl. I used to ride my bike everyday to class, while I was in college. One day Psycheknits had this tube made; we both aren't really sure how it came to be, but there it was. So I started wearing it as a cowl. It worked wonderful, but was well, that color green. As years went by, my look changed and the cowl did not fit in with it anymore, yet I continued to wear it. It went with nothing, but I loved that little thing! There are also a pair of bright purple fingerless gloves I wore at the same time. Pretty bad for a girl who was majoring in clothing. So that brings us to this Christmas. Well Psycheknits, you got your request. It now joins the STASH, and will be turned into something...just not quite sure as what.
Well I'm off! Going to go spend some time reading. If LMCBW is up for it, I might even do Zumba!
