Meanwhile, in the room above the garage...
After getting to have a very tasty lunch at Tofu Hut (my favorite restaurant EVER), I found out yet another day is going to go by where I don't get to go to work at CP. The power is still out and they have only now gotten the drive through going. Lauren needs to work!!! On the brighter side though, it opens up time for some knitting/ photo taking! I know I promised photos from the snow, and I totally have them, as well as photos of the aftermath of the HUGE ice storm, but another time. I'm kind of in a knitting grove and I want to ride the wave as long as I possibly can. Now to the reason I am making this little post. I FINISHED THE HAT!!! I used up both skeins of yarn that Auntie Mel bought, as well as a third skein I had to trek to the jingly pig to get. But it was sooo worth it!

I also started my first project to kill off my stash! They are a pair of arm warmers/mittens. I'm pretty stoked to get them going and get rid of the yarn!
Well, I'm diving back into it, until next time!! X

Let it snow!!!!
So it started last night, buuuuuuut IT'S SNOWING! I love the snow!!! And am so happy to see it here, the only down fall is I have to drive to work and then drive home in it later tonight. As long as I get there and get back safely, I am totally fine with it! Do I wish I could stay home and get to enjoy the fun relaxing in a winter wonderland? Yes. Am I happy I'm getting money? YES! So it all evens out. There will be many snow photos to come!! Got to go get ready!

As the sun goes down
The sun is quickly setting on my day off, and it has been pretty cool. Got some new jeans AND Snoopy jammy pants, but I doubt any of you care about those particular things.
than what you see here.elf that she loved, so I agreed to make it for her! It too is green, but a far more eye popping green.

I thought I'd start you all out with a nice video before diving in.

So, I did end up finishing Little Miss Can't Be Wrong's gloves. She appears satisfied, but I haven't really gotten to see them on her. Maybe once. I really don't care if they are worn, it would just be nice, y'know? They are green( her favorite) and the pattern I used needed to be altered a wee bit as my sister has hands the sizes of an infant (and I would know!) To make them not so bland looking, I added some shamrocks to her hands as she loves all things Irish and I thought it would be a nice flare. I don't currently have any photos of my wonderful masterpiece, maybe I can get LMCBW to be my hand model sometime.
I'm currently working on a hat for my wonderful Aunt Mel up in the jingly pig.
It's a hat a made awhile ago for myself and she fell in love with it, so I agreed to make her one if she bought the yarn. I will keep you all updated on it's progress. She can't have wool of any kind, so I'm getting the chance to knit with 100% cotton yarn, which I'm both excited and nervous about. I don't want to do all this work, then wash it and have the entire hat shrink up on me. We shall see though, right? It's all part of the adventures in knitting, so I can't complain. I've been working on it today, so it's a bit farther along

Speaking of adventures in knitting, my wonderful friend, Psycheknits, has come up with conquer her stash, THE BEAST. After reading through her post, I came to the conclusion that this is an absolutely wonderful idea! My Stash is in great need of trimming back. SO BRING IT! I will not buy anymore yarn until the majority of the 3 bags and 2 boxes are completely gone!
This same brilliant friend made me a beautiful cowl-y thing for Christmas, but it came with a requirement: I had to get rid of my treasured green cowl.
Let me tell you the story of this cowl. I used to ride my bike everyday to class, while I was in college. One day Psycheknits had this tube made; we both aren't really sure how it came to be, but there it was. So I started wearing it as a cowl. It worked wonderful, but was well, that color green. As years went by, my look changed and the cowl did not fit in with it anymore, yet I continued to wear it. It went with nothing, but I loved that little thing! There are also a pair of bright purple fingerless gloves I wore at the same time. Pretty bad for a girl who was majoring in clothing. So that brings us to this Christmas. Well Psycheknits, you got your request. It now joins the STASH, and will be turned into something...just not quite sure as what.
Well I'm off! Going to go spend some time reading. If LMCBW is up for it, I might even do Zumba!

Well it's not the morning, but I'm sure whether in the afternoon or morning, the same amount of people will see this! I got to go on a little adventure with my sister; she had to go to PT so I waited and got some reflection time in while I had the chance. We then tried out this organic cafe that popped up awhile ago in Yelm. Quick side note, Yelm doesn't strike most people as the kind of place for an organic cafe, but the place is a success so far. It was SUPER delicious and I will be going back. I think the coolest thing about it besides the fact that it's organic and local, is the fact that the menu changes!!! The owner/chef will keep a few things the same, but changes the majority of the menu about every month. Link to come, for sure!
So I know I promised a longer blog, but you all will have to be patient, as I am going to work soon and need to get dinner all sorted.
While you wait, you should check out my friend! He just came out with a new album!

Just another sunny day in Washington
So as promised, I have photos of the adventure which was juicing. My sister played photographer most of the time since I, obviously, had my hands full of fruits and veggies.

We found out the hard way that you have to double check all the slots, my carrots and apples ended up getting juiced into the machine and leaking out the bottom. Yet once we had everything in the proper place, all was well and I ended up with some pretty tasty pomoranpplot juice :)I am quite satisfied with it.
As I leave you for now, I leave you with this image. The storm is coming.

Let me start by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR! I'm so stoked to see what 2012 has to bring! It has already been pretty dang exciting! To start off with, I now officially have two jobs; I work for Our365 as a photographer and I work at Cutter's Point as a barista. Also, my car Serenity decided she was going to just stop working and not really let me know as to why. Took her in today to the shop and found out that all was well! She just needed to get the battery connection fixed a little bit and she was good to go.
Something that slowed me from keeping up on this blog was the fact that I didn't have a computer. Mine decided it was done, so I'm saving up for another. I luckily have pretty cool friends and one of them gave me his old netbook to hold me over until I can get my own computer once more. So now I have a way to keep this going more frequently!
So what is today's adventure you might be asking yourself? Juice! That's right my fine friends, this little bird is going to be using her new juicer to make her own concoctions! One of my New Year's resolutions is to make more of my own food. I want to continue to eat healthy and I want to know how to cook for myself. So we are starting today with some juice. Carrot, pomegranate, apple, orange juice to be exact. Now really sure how that will turn out, but hey, what's life without a bit of adventure! Photos are to come for sure! Got to wait for my camera to charge.
